He holds a PhD in Geotechnics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1998), a post-doctoral degree in Geotechnics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2002). He is currently an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Ceará, a master’s and doctoral advisor, a graduate professor in Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Geotechnics. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Mechanics of Soils, working mainly on the following topics: dams, unsaturated soils, constitutive modeling of the mechanical behavior of soils and wastes and instrumentation of geotechnical works
