She is an Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Ceará in the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering – Renewable Energies. She holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, USA (2018), a sandwich degree in Electrical Engineering from the State University of Amazona (2011) and Universidade do Minho (Portugal) and a sandwich degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Amazonas (2013) and University of Utah (USA). She conducts research mainly in the areas of renewable energy, production of green hydrogen, bioelectrochemical technologies and microbial fuel cells (Microbial Fuel Cells-MFCs), sewage treatment, relationship between electrical parameters and the activity of electro-active bacteria (electroactive bacteria), recycling of energy and nutrients in sewage treatment.
