Water Resources

Graduated in Civil Engineering, from the Federal University of Ceará (1985), with a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering? Water Resources by the Federal University of Ceará (1991) and PhD in Civil Engineering by the Federal University of Ceará (2000). She is currently Professor of the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering of the Federal University of Ceará and Vice-Coordinator of the Post-Graduate Program in Civil Engineering-Water Resources, with evaluation 7, by CAPES. She was Coordinator of the Undergraduate Program in Civil Engineering (1992 to 1996), Coordinator of 3 Specialization Courses in Water Resources Management (2005 to 2010) and Coordinator of the Professional Master in Water Resources Management (2011 to 2014). She acts as a project analyst for several State Foundations for Research Support and as a reviewer in several national and international journals. She develops research in the area of Water Resources, with emphasis on the following topics: Water Resources Planning and Management, Semi-Arid Hydrological Regime, Reservoir Dimensioning and Climatic Variability. She coordinated several research projects funded by CNPq, among them in the editors CT-Hidro (2003-2006), Universal (2004-2007), Universal (2009-2012) and Universal (2012-2015). It has 33 articles published in refereed journals and 118 complete articles published in annals of national and international events. She is the author of 6 books and 23 chapters of books in her area. She directed 4 PhD theses, 20 Master’s dissertations, 18 Specialization monographs, 16 end-of-course monographs and 32 PIBIC fellows. She is a representative of the Brazilian Association of Water Resources in the State of Ceará.
