In August, the course titled “Environmental Biotechnology”, was taught by Prof. Dr. Francisco Javier Cervantes of the Division of Environmental Sciences of the Potosino Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (IPICyT) – Mexico.  Prof. Cervantes is a reference in the area of sewage treatment and environmental microbiology, with a vast list of publications and important awards. About 28 people attended the course, distributed among postgraduate students, professors, professionals of the Engineering and of the Company of Water and Sewer of Ceará (Cagece). In addition to the local public, we had the participation of IFRN and UFPE people, demonstrating the great interest in this course.
